How Chronos Frontier's art is made

We want to be upfront about this: the art, animation, music and narration of Chronos Frontier are generated with AI models, then chosen and adjusted by people. The code, the design and the assembly are ours.
A character's path
- A front-facing image of each class comes out of FLUX.2 klein 4B, running on the team's computer.
- The motion (idle, walk, attack) comes from Wan 2.2, on GPUs rented by the hour.
- In Godot, the parts are assembled and animated, and the character gets the directions the game uses.
The four characters in the demo, Engineer, Guardian, Alchemist and Hunter, come in a male and a female version.
Sound
The music comes from ACE-Step 1.5 and the opening narration from Chatterbox (Portuguese) and Kokoro (English). The sound effects are a mix of CC0 packs from Kenney, sounds made in ffmpeg and sounds generated with Stable Audio 3, by Stability AI.
The notices
Each model has its own license, and all of them allow commercial use under the conditions in which we use them. Stable Audio 3's license asks for the notice Powered by Stability AI, which is in the credits of this page and of the game. The full list is in the credits section of the home page.
