Browser co-op with a room code

Chronos Frontier is online co-op for up to 4 players, and in the demo it runs right in the browser.
How people find each other
One player creates the room and gets a code. The others type the code in. Whoever created the room is the host: the host rules enemies, damage and loot, and each player rules the movement of their own character, so rolling does not arrive late.
The server's role
Browsers connect to each other with WebRTC, but first they need to swap a few details to find one another. That goes through a small signaling server, which only carries that exchange and never sees the game.
Why the page has a domain and a certificate
A page on https only accepts secure connections (wss). Without a domain with a certificate, browser co-op simply does not connect. That is what led us to build this page: it is both the showcase and what lets us really test co-op.
What is still to be measured
How many networks connect without extra help, and how the game behaves with high ping. We will tell you what we find here, including what goes wrong.
